Message from the Presidents

Dear Colleagues,

We are all conscious of how COVID-19 has affected our private and professional lives.

As you may have expected, the Greek Orthodontic Society and the Orthodontic Society of Northern Greece had no alternative but to review the logistics of their 23rd Congress, scheduled to take place during the weekend of December 5-6, 2020.

Although we will not be able to meet socially this year, the good news is that we will be bringing our congress to you in an exciting new format.

The 23rd Congress of the Greek Orthodontic Society and the Orthodontic Society of Northern Greece will be held as a virtual conference during the same dates. We are also happy to announce that the European Federation of Orthodontics (FEO) and the Hellenic Professional Union of Orthodontists will participate in the congress’ scientific program.

Free registration is provided for all attendees. It will enable you to listen to more than 20 world-class speakers presenting their findings on the latest techniques and research in Orthodontics, including the prestigious FEO Scientific and Awards sessions. Additionally, you will have access on a dynamic virtual exhibition.

The Organising Committee has worked hard together with the Conference Organisers and prepared an exciting and stimulating scientific event. Do not miss out on the opportunity to be part of it.

Looking forward to you joining us in the virtual 23rd Congress of the Greek Orthodontic Society and the Orthodontic Society of Northern Greece.

Message from the Organizing Committee

Dear colleagues and friends,

It is a pleasure to invite you to attend the 23rd Congress of the Greek Orthodontic Society (GOS) and the Orthodontic Society of Northern Greece (OSNG) with the participation of the European Federation of Orthodontics (FEO) and the Hellenic Professional Union of Orthodontists (HPUO).

The congress will be held on an online platform on December 5-6, 2020 and the registration will be free of charge.

Despite the difficulties and the adversities that we face due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we made sincere efforts to organize our traditional annual Congress, including innovative lectures of high scientific quality from distinguished speakers from Greece and abroad.

The Congress will include the Scientific Sessions and the Awards Sessions of the European Federation of Orthodontics. A variety of interesting orthodontic topics will be presented in the sessions, such as digital orthodontics, the relationship between orthodontics and other interventions or conditions, treatment of challenging orthodontic problems as well as retention and stability.

A virtual exhibition from the sponsors of our congress will take place as well and 10 credits of Continuing Professional Development (ΣΕΕΟ) will be awarded to the attendees by the Hellenic Dental Association.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the Congress!

Message from the European WFO Executives

Dear Colleagues,

The World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO) was formed in 1995 at the 4 th  IOC in San Francisco, California, USA, and 69 affiliate organisations became charter members. Since then, the WFO has grown to 112 affiliate organisations, representing almost 10,000 orthodontists who have become WFO fellows.
The federation aims to  advance the art and science of orthodontics worldwide and to promote excellence in patient care globally. National orthodontic associations and societies play an essential role in achieving these goals.
We currently live unprecedented situations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During these difficult times, four WFO affiliates from Europe have joined their forces, in order to prepare a prestigious scientific event.
The Greek Orthodontic Society (GOS) αnd the Orthodontic Society of Northern Greece (OSNG) organize their 23 rd Congress, with the additional participation of the European Federation of Orthodontics (FEO) and the Hellenic Professional Union of Orthodontists (HPUO). The conference will take place place virtually during December 5-6, 2020.
The World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO) encourages the cooperation between its affiliates. Scientific events like the 23 rd Congress will spread the global message of speciality orthodontic care and contribute to the orthodontic continuing education.
As the European representatives of the WFO Executive Committee, we wish a great success to the congress organizers and the participating societies.

Sincerely,

Prof. Letizia Perillo and Dr. Panagiotis Skoularikis
